Blue Nile Massage and Wellness

Community Initiatives

Volunteering and supporting my community is something that I have always been passionate about. Over the last few years, my goal was to make alternative health options and self care education accessible to more communities. Through my various community initiatives, I have not only been able to advocate for and educate about the importance of self care and personal healing, but also encouraging others to play an active role in taking care of their mental, emotional and physical health.

Some of my community involvement includes:

  • Providing free massage treatments to the women of Adsum Women's Shelter, YWCA's Supportive Housing for Young Moms (SHYM), and the North End Community Health Clinic.

  • Regular columnist for Rise & Lead Women's Empowerment Magazine's health and wellness section

  • Public Speaker for events such as the Network for Empowerments International Women's Day Conference and YWCA's Inspired By Her fundraising event

  • Featured on CTV and CBC, advocating for the importance of BIPOC doulas in supporting BIPOC women during pregnancy

  • Volunteer Mentor for Blk Women In Excellence's 6-week women's entrepeneur program

  • Facilitated a Self Care and Energy Workshop for organizations such as Dalhousie's Human Rights and Equity Services department

  • Volunteer Doula for various women from marginalized communities throughout HRM

Community involvement is something I always have and always will be a part of. By supporting Blue Nile Massage and Wellness, you are directly supporting these initiatives. Thank you so much for your continued love and support for our community.
